Strong Women, Strong Bones 8:15-9:30 AM Carole Lane Cost: $4 per session, payable to instructor Weight-bearing, resistance training based on the Tufts Medical Program. Ongoing
Advanced Watercolor 9 AM-Noon Br. Edward Rice Cost: $55/$75 Not for beginners. Six classes for intermediate painters to enhance painting skills. Paint in transparent and opaque watercolor…still life, photo work, and portrait. Additional supplies required. Sessions: I, II
Biography 10-11:30 AM Nancy Usher Cost: $25/$35 Heroes and Villains – Session I: The Devil in the White City, by Erik Larson. The heroes are the architects of the Chicago’s World Fair of 1893, the villain is Dr. H.W. Holmes. He is a psychopath who preys on young women who arrive in Chicago seeking their fortune at the fair. Session II: The Untold Story of American Nurses Trapped on Bataan by the Japanese. The heroes in this story are the nurses; the villains are the Japanese. Session III: Mountains beyond Mountains by Tracy Kidder. The hero in this story is Dr. Paul Farmer who travels to third world countries healing the sick and infirmed and teaching the people that, “the only real nation is humanity.” Session IV: To be announced. Sessions: I, II, III, IV
Cake Decorating 10 AM-Noon Michelle Plotner Cost: $25/$35 Learn the basics of cake decorating including borders, flowers, character cakes and more. Supply list to be given at the first session. Session: I
Old Fashioned Gingerbread House 10 AM-Noon Michelle Plotner Cost: $15/$20 Three sessions. Construct a small or large gingerbread house. Decorate it using store bought candies. Supply list given at first session. Sesssion II
Old Fashioned Sugared Egg 10 AM-Noon Michelle Plotner Cost: $15/20 Three sessions. Create a dimensional enchanted egg made of sugar with a scene inside. Cost of supplies approximately $5.00 payable to instructor. Sesssion: IV Tai Chi 4-5 PM Johanna Hattendorf Cost: 24/$36 Six classes focusing on gentle exercise designed to promote good balance, wellness and inner vitality. Sessions: I, II, III, IV, V

Opera “A Night In Venice” 3-4:30 PM John Tischio Cost $40/$55 All operas will take place in the city of Venice. These will include; Lucrezia Borgia by Donizetti, La Gioconda by Ponchielli, Otello by Verdi, Tales of Hoffman by Offenbach, Attila by Verdi and The Gondoliers by Gilbert and Sullivan. If you can’t go to Venice this summer, or even if you can, come to Venice with us this fall. Sessions: I

Decorate for the holidays with a beaded and wrapped candle, an ornament for your tree and a matching ring and bracelet set using Swarovski crystals and sterling silver.
